I am a single parent of two young children. A boy 13 and a girl 10. Last October the 4th, 1999, I lay dying. $43,000 and lots of therapy, I am slowly making it. I cannot afford a Christmas for my children, nor can I afford a dryer for their clothes. My furnace is held together with duct tape. I asked them to make a list of what they would like and my son, in tears, said he felt guilty asking because he wants me to pay the water bill. While I was separated from the children, hospitalized, my daughters' dog died. She was a golden retriever and licked her tears and comforted her when I was not there. My wish is not for me, but for my babies who have suffered so much this past year. My son likes Mage-Nites, and playing Magic The Gathering. He also would like a video game called Zelda with books. My daughter wants blue pajamas with white clouds and a shirt. She likes the music of 98 degrees and Ho Ku, and a doll called Diva. They need boots and gloves for the winter too. We live in Harper Woods, Michigan. I have been to the church to help me with food of which I am truly grateful. I would love to surprise my two babies with a beautiful Christmas and maybe a golden retirever puppy for my daughter. I do not know where else to turn for help. I have prayed and know that God is watching over us. I hear about the incredible wealth some enjoy and I do not ask for that, only the chance to make their Christmas dreams come true. I wish for several things this year; that my husband would quit smoking so his health would improve and that we quit arguing so much and recapture the love and friendship we had when we first met; and that my husband will develop a better attitude toward life. also that we can get our bills all caught up and get his child support straightened out; child support recovery says he is behind $10,000 dollars and will withold our income tax refund when indeed his is not behind and support is deducted every payday; i also wish for happiness for his children and some much needed guidance and also that this coming year we can afford to help his 16 year old daughter to get braces on her teeth; she doesn't even like to smile and her mother will not work or do anything to help her. I just want my husband to know how much i love him and together we can work through everything and with the help of god.

I wish my Guardian Angels stay near me in this time of need.
