I am a single parent of two young children. A boy 13 and a girl 10. Last October the 4th, 1999, I lay dying. $43,000 and lots of therapy, I am slowly making it. I cannot afford a Christmas for my children, nor can I afford a dryer for their clothes. My furnace is held together with duct tape. I asked them to make a list of what they would like and my son, in tears, said he felt guilty asking because he wants me to pay the water bill. While I was separated from the children, hospitalized, my daughters' dog died. She was a golden retriever and licked her tears and comforted her when I was not there. My wish is not for me, but for my babies who have suffered so much this past year. My son likes Mage-Nites, and playing Magic The Gathering. He also would like a video game called Zelda with books. My daughter wants blue pajamas with white clouds and a shirt. She likes the music of 98 degrees and Ho Ku, and a doll called Diva. They need boots and gloves for the winter too. We live in Harper Woods, Michigan. I have been to the church to help me with food of which I am truly grateful. I would love to surprise my two babies with a beautiful Christmas and maybe a golden retirever puppy for my daughter. I do not know where else to turn for help. I have prayed and know that God is watching over us. I hear about the incredible wealth some enjoy and I do not ask for that, only the chance to make their Christmas dreams come true. Hello I am making a wish for my son and his family(daughter-in-law and granddaughter. They moved back from SC a while ago and have been staying witha family memeber. They have been struggling fianacially and doing the best they can. The family member had a hissy fit today and told them they had till 12 tonite to get out. What a horrible thing to happen to someone around the holidays. For I understand, because the building I live in was sold and the new owner told me I had to be out by Dec 1st. Which I wanted to fight but since my father sold him the building and didn't want a agrument. I too became homeless and am staying at a friends house till I can find a apartment. Otherwise I would just have them come stay with me. Her I was worried about a tree and present for my grandchild and now I fear where she will sleep tonite.
